anyone know how bad ass these shieks are?

If you post ITK information and it turns out to be wrong. You can't really complain and start being a mard arse when people no longer believe you.

flb you seem very interested in me personally? Im not that way inclined fella, lol
Well its no secret i'm a businessman, people know I own a few businesses in the cheshire area, club to name but one. I graduated in 2003, qualified as a solicitor in 2005, retired from that in 2007, and find myself quantum leaping more than sam beckett of late, striving to make right what was once wrong.lol
That enough for you skippy

i wonder if you asked supporters of every football club in europe whether they'd prefer mark hughes or jose mourinho as manager, how many would say the welsh wonder?

it's no contest. if mourinho wants the job, we have to give it to him. otherwise we could regret it forever more! and as for this "oh but his teams don't play exciting football" nonsense, i've not exactly been swept of my feet by some of the crap we've served up this season.

Anybody who doesn't think that Mourinho would be a big step forward need their heads testing. As for him moving around clubs, I agree with one of the previous posters that he would still be at Chelsea if it wasn't for Red Rom kicking him out.

I bet Mourinho would love the City challenge...going face to face with Ferguson, having money to spend, being back in the Premier League and given free reign to go out and buy world class players etc etc....oh and being paid handsomely too!

i know people would rather get the 'best' in now for a quick fix, but weve already had a major shot in the arm with ADUG, and some of the signings weve made already....if we were to get mourinho it would just be an overdose for our club i feel, id much rather us achieve success more steadly building each season and winning in 4/5 years time.....much more satisfying.

i mean look at chelsea, wanted and got instant success, then had a dip so mourinho suddenly wasnt good enough, success had to be attained every year. now they have an aging squad as they bought experience, no money left and a owner who is reportedly not as interested.

if we build the success over a few years it will be much more gratifying for everyone involved

if we build and invest in youth at the same time, it will keep us in good shape long after the project as finished.
unlike chelsea now who with an ageing side and no youth coming through will have to spend big again to maintain there so called big 4 side status.

i just wannna see us win something !

Anyone who thinks Mourinho wouldn't be great for City, i agree with the poster above, is talking absolute bollocks. He's one of the best managers in world football, ffs, and probably the most high-profile. Whatever and whenever he became available, and if we had any chance whatsoever of getting him, we should, even though i'm 100% behind Hughes, this is a completely different kettle of fish.

The facts of it are, though, that he could go pretty much anywhere he wanted to. When Taggart leaves The Swamp, or Benitez Liverpool, or Ramos Real, pretty much any top club in the world, he's going to be in their plans. He could pretty much pick his club. The fact that we have an endless pot of cash doesn't put us in the same league as those sides, it really doesn't. We're still a mid-table Premier League club, who for the last quarter of a century have contrived to kick ourselves in the balls as often and as hard as possible. Offering to double Mourinho's wages and giving him a big pot of gold for transfers really isn't how these things work.

The facts of it are that the world's best managers and players want to be at the world's best clubs, not a club that may or may not be one in five or ten years. Any person in their right mind is going to choose Barca, Real, Milan, Inter, United, Liverpool, well, you get the point, pretty much any top club over City, irrespective of financial backing. We're looking for a manager to get us to the next stage, to be in the Champions League and top four, then when that happens, maybe Mourinho might give it a seconds though.

toure yay or nay after your revelation today

Is this Toure, best player on the park last night and soon to be European Cup winner, playing at best club in world football, or Toure, tinpot and short-fused Arsenal centre-half who's no better than Onuoha?

A player of that ilk, i'd hope to god any1 would take them, but you never know how far down the line it is. I was told that we were to step aside from a villa deal, as not to get in a bidding war with us, only one winner really.... and we can in essence provide them the money through the purchase of yaya. Would hope he would be top name on the list as it would be perfect for komps to assume captaincy and we'd have the beast to go with the bulldog that is de jong.

No reason why we need to follow the Chelsea model, although they did buy up a lot of promising youth and will probably reap the benefit of that in a few years time.

For me it's essential whoever the manager is that we look to achieve as much as we can in the short term, but also keep an eye on the longer term. We're going to do that through the academy, and I would hope by buying more of the Kompany types than the Bridge types.

Just what I was thinking. It was inferred earlier that the balance of thought within ADUG so to speak has shifted recently from JM to MH and part of this was due to the players finally warming to MH , just wondered if asked which way the players would plump, for me ...

Given = MH
Hart = JM
Richards = MH
Dunne = MH
Onuoha = MH
Zab = Draw
VK = MH (Just)
Bridge = JM
Garrido = doesnt matter probably but JM
DeJong = JM
Gelson = MH
Johnno = JM
Elano= JM
Superman = the real interesting one, how much better could JM make him, he's go for JM just I think
Petrov = JM
SWP = MH
Robinho= JM
Bellamy = MH all the way
Boj = JM
Caicedo = MH
Studge = JM

Obviously thats not the whole squad but I make it 11-8 in favour of the special one.

thoughts?
