That's why I was confused as well.

For the past 9 months, the "real" ZZ stated unequivocally that Hughes would stay in post... for this season and next.

Now, all of a sudden, THIS ZZ is claiming that Mourinho might actually be coming in during the summer!

Doesn't make sense!!! Anyone who suggested Hughes was going to be replaced was blasted by your razor sharp wit and told in no uncertain terms that they were tossers!

I assumed you were ITK, yet OB1 knows more!

Sorry mate, but I think you're the fake, and unless your predictions prove otherwise, i will have to keep my sceptical head on. And I claim my £50.

For the record, I haven't said Jose is coming but based on the little bits of stuff I've heard, I'd say Hughes is not safe and Jose would top the list of people ADUG would look to to replace Hughes. There's other people about who know far more than me but I promise that I am not basing this opinion on internet forum rumours. Just remember, the future is always uncertain.

soulboy it comes down to this, my info has always been in the pro hughes camp, and everything intimated towards him, however stances change, and what was once a cert is closely changing to an outsider. Bottom line is if jose is smitten, at all costs we must get, because the 10 year plan that is banded about becomes 3-4 with him at the helm.

You've got a point but with Jose at the club big name players are more likely to come

say Jose arrives with Terry and Zaltan in his hand luggage then more top class players will look at us and think "we can really win thing at that club look at what they are building"

so over 2 seasons the team improves with top quailty player and we start winning silverware or end up in CL

If Jose leaves then we still have a top class team, rich owners and we'll be able to get another big name manager in and we progress from there

I agree 100% with you Nix, i can see total sense in bringing JM to the club and getting rid of Hughes even if it is on the basis that he will attract f*ck all in the way of world class players.

I just dont think anyone who wants jose here should expect to have him here for the term of the project. But he would def give us a head start on getting in some cream.

I don't know who I want but I don't want Mourinho. I'm not convinved by Hughes so have no issue with him being replaced (though if we win the next 3 games I might be persuaded to keep him)...but... I'd like someone likable. And there's not many if any out there who are any good. It's a dial-an-enima.

I for one hope that you are right about Jose. I think hughes has done ok and if the 10 yr plan was to be stuck to I would have stuck with him, however if someone the calibre of Jose is up for it then we cant let this chance go by. Even if he stayed for 2 or 3 years he would take the stature and positionikng of the club forward by 5 years +, not to mention the players he might attract !
