Anyone know these fans?

I used to do the Junior Blue Panto and I was in the one in the picture (although I’m not in those pictures) so there’s a chance we met

The lad in the silver tin man outfit I think was Stuart, the lad as the scarecrow was called Mark and interestingly is the lad who sings the version of Blue Moon that plays pre match at City. Annoyingly I can’t remember his surname. He was the son of one of the ladies that who ran the panto’s (not Liz Douglas, the other one)

Great time those Pantos, I did 9 of the from age 5 in 1988 through to about 1998

Brilliant memory. I remember a couple of ladies running it actually, now you've mentioned it.

I remember going to the rehearsals on a Sunday. Was brilliant back then because the weekend was just pure City - match on a Saturday, panto rehearsal on Sunday.

We turned up once and parked in the car park outside the ground and Jeff Whitley was sat in his car next to us.

Probably nostalgia, but I miss those days. My kids are growing up and not getting any of that now we're a "huge" club

I’ll ask my sister.
We spoke about it relatively recently and she still remembers.

I regretted not doing it.

I know, imagine Haaland and Rodri doing this.
Scott Carson would have done it though.
Sorry mate but I think you’re underestimating Haaland and Rodri, I reckon they’d jump at a chance of being in a city pantomime.

Doing the Panto’s over that many year I got meet so many players, most would just rock up on the day to say a few lines, a couple of times though I remember a couple coming to some rehearsals. One year we did “Quinnochio” and I’m sure Niall turned up to one or 2 rehearsals as he obviously was featured.

I loved my time doing them pantos, every Sunday from around September to December (sometimes Jan if they did it late) being down at the social club at Maine Road, reckon they used to cram about 400/500 people in there for some of them, was a real buzz. Apologies if you ever heard me sing at one of them!

I wish I’d kept in contact with some of the others that did quite a few of them, obviously no mobiles back in them days so not as easy etc… outside of the 2 lads mentioned above I can’t remember any names.

There are pictures knocking about, some I wish wasn’t as some of the costumes are a bit embarrassing but all good fun and a real strong memory and makes up a part of my love for this club.

As you said shame they don’t still do it but you’d imagine it would get absolutely hammered and the piss taken on social media these days as people just wouldn’t get it

I remember the one Quinny turned up to. My dad's favourite player at the time - he was gutted he wasn't there haha!

Was at Maine Road - I seem to remember a social club/bar type place next to the City Store?
Yeah, it faced onto Claremont Road (my address for the first 10 years of my life). It was a two storey building, typical of buildings in that era; bland and soulless. I was never in it, so I don't know what it was like inside. It was, if you like, around the corner from the legendary souvenir shop (twenty people in it, and it was rammed), which fronted onto Maine Road.

Is that the shop on the corner that did the t shirt prints or players faces and then a tag above it? I got a Paul Walsh one that said "The Little Genius"

Don't remember them doing any printing, to be honest. There was an unofficial shop on Claremont Road that sold various bits and bobs (great source for away programmes. It made the official store seem huge). Maybe it was there?

Panto on the Saturday; panto on the Sunday.

The original social club later became the club shop IIRC. Original shop was a fairly small brick built building, Ive seen bigger merch stalls at gigs.

We were the most Heath Robinson outfit in those days. The exec offices were in a terraced house. We’ve come a long way since then.

I was in some of the pantos back in the late 80s, maybe stretching into the very early 90s, not sure which years exactly. The Wizard of Frizz starring David White, Trevor Morley, Paul Moulden, Ian Brightwell and Jimmy Frizzell (obvs). Found the programme, but it won’t let me upload the photo of it as it’s too big, apparently.

The other lady was Amanda Bellamy. I suspect we were in one or more of the same panto! Wizard of Frizz and Cityrella were two I was in. I have the programme for the former.

Amanda, that’s it good memory! I think Wizard of Frizz was the year before I started, Cityrealla rings a bell but can’t place the year
