Anyone think they'd shaft us?

A rag mate living in Oz e-mailed me the other night stating that it's not that they mind losing out on the FA Cup, they just don't want City winning it. It's more important that we don't win it than it is for them to lose. What a pathetic aspiration to have, bunch of cnuts!!

It's in our own hands. The paranoia on here is getting out of hand. If we don't finish in the top four it will be because we weren't good enough and nothing to do with rag results. I don't believe Ferguson would deliberately throw a game, past results are more than likely coincidental.

We will finish in the top four though. No need to worry.

If I remember correctly in the 2000/01 season when we got relegated, they had a match against Derby towards the end of the season that would have helped us a lot if they won, and they lost it. Not saying it was on purpose but it's a bit of a coincidence.
Let's see if they beat Fulham,Newcastle and Everton. If they do, I think they'll lose the Arsenal and Chelsea games. It's not paranoia. It's a means to an end.

derby's first away win of the season, scum's first home defeat
Wasn't that the game when Wanchope waltzed through (almost in slow motion) probably the best defence in the division at the time? And wasn't Jim Smith (great buddies with Taggart) manager of Derby at the time? Hmm.

No different an attitude to plenty of City fans. I remember that game when we absolutely stuffed Leeds in 1992, great City performance and I was buzzing coming out of Maine Rd only to hear a number of blues moaning that we'd handed the rags the title. As it happened Leeds won it anyway but I still can't understand that attitude.

Well I'll give you a scenario. Let's say next season, 1 game left, we've mathematically won the title and Liverpool and the scum were fighting to finish 4th. Liverpool have 74 points, rags have 73. We play Liverpool last game at anfield. The rags have a home game against Blackburn. Do you think we should approach the game trying to win it,even though the implications of the rags not getting CL footy could damage them so severely?

Yes, City should always go out to win a game IMO, what happens to the rags happens.
