I'm confused. Why would you want to give your child a name that is on the top 4 most common names? I mean, really?

I'm a big believer in biblical names. Call me old fashioned if you want, I'm just not falling into the 'lets pretend we're dead out there' catagory.
ps, I wouldn't call my kids any of those names.

I'm not saying call your child Sunflower. I just never understood why people look at the "top 10" child names list and go "ooh, that's original!" Talk about dumping your kid into a collective before it's had a chance.

I think a name should be a name. Something strong, not something that will be unfashionable in 10 years. Something that will sound good as a baby, child, adult, and an old man. I can't imagine calling someone Kai when I'm 80, its not an old man's name.

I don't know.. Kai is one syllable. He can even say it when he has no teeth!
