Anyone worried?

We're in limbo right now. AI is the advent of a new dawn, so much uncertainty though in how it will affect us. Mass unemployment? Universal basic income? T-1000 terminators? Who knows?

What I find incredible is that you can honestly have some chump eating maccy dees fucking about on an expensive phone knowing where their next meals are coming from complaining about people who were grateful for the moss off the wallpaper to lick when they were hungry and had a stick and a wheel for fun (Slight exaggeration but it still stands).
Luxury…! :-)

Absolutely correct, how many people do you see who earn a wage that is almost the same as the value of their car. Couples earning £50k each and driving around a leased Range Rover worth £102k + costing them 1.5k per month or more, never mind the down payment.

Lifestyle inflation is one of the biggest issues, when people start earning more, rather than saving and building up a buffer which they can invest and grow, they spend it on slightly better holidays, or a newer car etc.

Having a wife or partner who has a similar financial outlook certainly helps, there's nothing worse than having one person in a relationship who spends money like water, whilst the other is more responsible.

Surprisingly it does tend to be those who actually earn above average incomes who have no savings and significant debt rather than people who are on lower wages.

I appreciate it doesn't work for everyone and is obviously more difficult if you only have one minimum wage income but the 50-30-20 split between needs, wants and savings is a good starting point.
FOMO is a mental disorder.

Thinking about a move to Sydney through work, interesting to hear people’s view. Two of my very good friends from the UK moved out over 10 years ago and never came back. The UK only feels to be going in a negative direction and that is without the permanent crap weather.

What's your view on sunburn, Venomous spiders under the bog seat and zero seasons?

Do you currently hate living in the UK or are you happy but fearful of something that might never happen?

Hate no, however certainly intrigued in the possibility of change for the better lifestyle if possible more so for my two teenage sons. Have always been interested in living abroad and the outdoor lifestyle.
