Apart from Del and Rodders

It means that the winner in the poster's opinion cannot be beat, it's not an attack, you must be a F.O.C ( that's not an attack either)

: )

Bloody hell. When somebody else says end the thread.. it means they agree with that statement. I didn't literally mean end the thread. I love OFAH. Sorry for any confusion mucker.
Beat me to it!

Why are saying pull the thread then???
In this type of thread, when a question is being asked about people's opinions on the best whatever; when someone offers an option, and then says "close the thread", it's because they feel that their option can't be bettered and, consequently, there is no point continuing with the thread. It is generally said tongue in cheek.

Oh wow Cosmic

On trigger, it was interesting how in the first (I think) episode he was a wheeler dealer himself selling dodgy briefcases to Del and they changed him to being the stupid one.

Bit of a reversal of blackadder

Uncle Albert.
Buster Mayfield had their unenviable task of following in Grandad’s shoes and did so superbly with some great one liners and storylines
Yes, when Grandad died it felt like the programme was done for, but Uncle Albert was introduced brilliantly into the story and he was just perfect as he got everyone’s sympathy from the off and the dynamic between him and Del, who didn’t want him to stay, was the work of genius. We got to see Del being nasty and also vulnerable as he missed Grandad, but we all knew it was underpinned by David Jason grieving Lennard Pearce.

Classic TV that will never be bettered in my opinion.

Boomerang Trotter - I keep coming back.

The look on Del and Rodney’s face when Albert recalls the tales of the relatives he has stayed with and how he comes “back from a trip to the shops” and they’ve moved!

Only the other night I watched the one where he throws himself into the cellar of the Nags.

Same episode where at the start Rodney's bought £500 worth of suncream in the middle of winter.
