Looking at buying an Apple TV3 via Groupon for £75.

Tried Googling to find out exactly what jailbreaking can offer me but am struggling to find anything other than ads or simply ways to do it.

I've sussed that you can use it to view videos and listen to songs that you cant without jailbreaking it, but whats the score with the movies and sports channels - as these free or do you have too subscribe to them?

Anything else other than the PC brigades comments about Apple and how shite it is/being a sheep/andriod tabs etc. ;-)

You cant jailbreak the 3rd gen. only the 2nd at the minute i'm afraid.

What about the hiked up priced Apple 2 s that have been done then - whats the score with those? How do you get all these 'free' movies etc?

What about the hiked up priced Apple 2 s that have been done then - whats the score with those? How do you get all these 'free' movies etc?

They hiked up the prices of the old ones because you can jailbreak it. It's simple enough to do if you can get hold of one. The "free" movies are usually by the XBMC app which you can install once its jailbroken. You can also get some decent streams for the games on there as well.

have a look on ebay mate...there are some that will load xbmc (remotely) for a small cost. Gen 2 are like gold dust at the mo....going for up to £250 each fully loaded

Well they have been saying it for years mate and people always find a way around, don't see it happening soon so the £50-60 it will cost its worth it if you at most got a season or two out of it surely?

I've got a windows laptop too , so how would I do that?

What's the best way ? Simple terms please ;-)
