Has to be the most frustrating thing ever, it takes ages then most of the time you don't even hear from them. I'm getting desperate for a part time, preferably evenings to keep weekends free job to pay disel and city gamess etc and i'm just applying for all sorts of shit but getting no where! I've gone to the depths of debating ringing for one at a pizza company delivering pizzas but its a last resort

i'm currently applying for lots of graduate engineering posts, not hearing anything back from them, no receipt of applications/rejection letters

nothing

it is very frustrating

I've heard back from 4 (all rejections), and i'm applying for anything going.

Where do you live?
Only asking as Most Manchester City Centre Pubs/Bars are recruiting staff due to Christmas coming up
Just hand out your CV and your almost guaranteed an interview
Its not the best job in the world but tips are good at this time of year

Don't you have to be 18? i'm only 17 till march you see

Think City are taking on stewards soon, get paid for
watching City, kill two birds with one stone.

Had an interview at a solicitors in Swinton on Tuesday....working in appeals (criminal) really hope i get it.

theres an agency on cambridge street just over the road from czech bar which employs a lot of waiters & barstaff on a casual basis for sports and corporate events (sorry i cant remember what its called!). i worked for them a few times and even did a few shifts behind the bar in the executive lounge/restaurant at city. in fact i worked that day we thrashed portsmouth 6-0 and i was really wound up by the dozen or so people who didn't even go out to watch the game.

if you can get a waiting on job you can make an absolute fortune in tips. of course the waiters are supposed to share a part of their tips with us mugs who did the drinks orders but the most i ever got given was a fiver despite me seeing one waiter counting a load of twenties.

was applying for work placement last year and it is so annoying not hearing back.
