nice to see people giving players time to adapt..........

What are you on about?

I assume he thinks your judgement is based on his short amount of time here that was on the back off 4 months out and alongside Kompany who shated a job they didn't need to the majority of the time. However you might have known the lad from pre-City.

I wonder how long into a City players career we have to wait before we determine that there might be better players in the world.

1204 BST: Liverpool have signed Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani for £15.3m. (Spanish newspaper Marca)

i can see that being true , alonso is definately on his way out , hes amazing aquilani. marca do chat shit sometimes though.

I think he will suit Liverpool, and he would an ideal replacement to Alonso (even though he's by far better than Aquilani). I can see him doing well with Liverpool IMO.

You'd like to think that with the staggering sums of money being chucked around for transfers these days, managers do their research thoroughly.

And it certainly looked that way yesterday, when Rafa Benitez was discussing potential Liverpool new boy Alberto Aquilani.

"I always remember one game - England versus Italy U21s at Wembley, and he was man of the match in a 3-0 win" said Rafa.

Sounds convincing. The only problem with that is England and Italy Under-21s have played each other once at Wembley. That was the first game at the new stadium, a game that finished 3-3.

We suspect Giampolo Pazzini would be pretty peeved if he didn't get the man of the match award in that one, given that he scored a hat-trick.

And he'd be even more peeved to miss out to Aquilani, given that he didn't play that day.

Good to see Rafa has his thumb on the pulse.

Good stuff from Rafa there.

I bet he's only gone there for the money though!

Emerged at Roma since 2002 but played total just 102 league games there. Another injury prone player, I think.
