i guess they had him on as wedderburn said he was the one who broke the news about city being bought out in the first place, i think its true, they pushed for kaka not hughes after all he had fuck all to do with robinho
The more this goes on the less respect I have for journalists. Just heard the sportsnews on Newstalk an Irish radio station. They report as fact that City have withdrawn the bid. Said that a statement appeared on a website of the owners confirming that it was off and we are pursuing another target in Italy. What crap. Talk about lazy journalism

If Hughes had nothing to do with it, you would expect he has been back here sorting out the immediate problem of signing players to get us out of the sh*te we are in and a game against Wigan in 2 days time.
All i've heard is that we had another extortionate bid turned down for Bellamy, but with the current position we are in, there must have been more wheeling and dealing goin on. Hopefully Hughes will have some news in his press conference on more critical matters closer to home.

IF this is true, and I do mean IF because I have serious doubts on the credibility of ArabianBusiness.com then the only players in Italy I could think of, that would be available and worth MAYBE taking a punt on are Adriano, Balotelli, Iaquinta, and MAYBE Alex Pato or Gourcuff although I doubt Milan would let Pato go and I believe Bordeaux have first dabs on Gourcuff.

Why would we go to all this trouble to try and sign some 1, and then kaka himself say in his car "If milan accept the offer, then thats a different story" which basically means he would negotiate with city if milan accept.
