Are City a better team without Yaya ?

With Yaya in the team under the same circumstances yesterday, that would have been a cricket score.

Spot on.

We played the poorest Arsenal team in recent years with 10 men. The victory was an achievement, but it doesn't influence my opinion on Yaya, at least not until we see a consistent improvement without Yaya against 11 men.

I'd say spot on but you've already nicked it. Bang on. Huzzah.

As brilliant as he can be, sometimes he looks as though he's playing in a different time zone (© ultimateharold), but it's a tough call. At his best, we're better, at his worst, we're worse.

Not read whole thread but seen some references to Yaya's bad games etc. Yaya's bad days are on many occasions better than most players' good days, IMO. Sometimes Yaya will make a small number of horrid passes in a game and people seem to remember those and forget that he made a whole host of perfectly decent ones.

Yaya makes on average 20 more passes than any of his team mates during a game, and completes almost 90% of them. He is the hub of the team and the fact that we can win without him is not an indicator that we are better without him: we aren't.

No i would rather have Ya Ya Toure playing for us now instead of for his country in Africa. Are they having another African cup of nations next year?

our build-up has been too slow this season, ystday was more like last season. Coincidence? very hard to say if it was due to the big man missing or not. I thought we relied too much on him in general even though we won the prem, he is central to so much of our play. I thought the team were all better for being in positions that suited them, could be back to square one when Kun, Samir and Yaya return.
Just hope we keep the same tempo whoever we start with

We cannot be better without yaya it's just impossible..he makes it happen in the big games

Yesterday was a VERY big game ..... and a very big win for us

Arsenal have a game in hand on most , and could easily finish in the top four.

After all Yaya's performances for us then one game without him results in a win and this is what we have to put up with.
