Are City really ruining football?

I made this point some time back. I'm pretty sure your table is accurate. I did the same calculations.
Granted, we've been dominating the Premier League title for four years, but everyone knows that that won't be the case to the same extent when Pep leaves. Whereas it doesn't really seem to matter which manager Bayern have. Or Real Madrid for that matter. They just hoover up whoever they want. And their media cringe like faithful dogs to them, as far as I can see.
United dominated the league title for twenty fucking years, with nods in the direction of Arsenal in the late nineties and early noughties, and then Chelsea after that. I don't remember anyone saying that United were ruining football. Certainly not in the media. And that beloved-of-the-media club Liverpool won it eleven times in the seventies and eighties. Again, everyone seemed to take it as part of the natural order, except for Everton fans.

Interesting, incidentally, that Spain have got such a very good record in the two European trophies: who are the five, out of interest?
Seville, Atleti, Villareal, Barca and Real
:)

Yes we're ruining it for all the red supporting media and fans.

Or, we've got the best football in the world right now happening in the PL, for the PL, and they want to ruin it. Wow just wow.

They should get in board rather than cut their nose off to spite their face.

When we've got our own fans thinking shite like this, there really is no hope.

See I have always said our transfer policy was great, when many have criticized Txiki and co. This is genuinely the first time I felt this is not good for the competitiveness of the game. And it's not some knee jerk because of Grealish's poor form (I'll give him 1 year before criticizing his performances), I questioned this transfer right when he was linked to City.

The talent should be spread across teams, stockpiling players will reduce the competitiveness as these extra players could be a valuable asset in another team. Just because we can buy doesn't mean we should. Keep that money for a position that is needed - a striker or a DM.
Again, we can't stockpile players, as we've only got a 25 player squad to fill. If we choose to buy an extra player in one position, we can't in another. It's choosing our priorities

I know City have balanced the books, but there is something wrong with buying Grealish for a record transfer fee to play in a position already well stocked with 2 other international players (Sterling and Foden). That kind of quality accumulation distorts the competition.
Come now - we've got no striker, virtually no LB cover, and no one at CDM other than rodders.

In some respects you could argue for this. We are playing the best football I have ever seen in my 67 years of watching. We are so good in fact that all the teams that play us resort to 11 men at the back (see last night for example) and then hoof ball. This can get boring to watch. We still find ways to score but it can get rather boring to watch If you are a fan of the club being hammered.

As to how a football club should be run - no, but we are showing up all the other clubs on how well we are organised and this is hurting. :)
