Are Spurs Overrated

Good exciting team to watch, and Rednapp has done an excellent job with them. They are still our rivals for 4th, and given what we've spent, that's not bad!

Look lets face it Spuds are a pretty good team who at home play some nice fast attacking football albeit a bit left side biased but take any one/two of Modric, Bale and VDV out and they will struggle, with blue tinted glasses on I much prefer our options all over the pitch to theirs.

On a different note did anyone listen to 909 last night? One spuds caller comparing Modric to Zidane and a future winner of the Ballon D'or! pmsl, Modric is very good but come on Zidane?

And as much as I hate Alan Green he outed a Rag who reckoned he had been to the match and was on M6 by about 6.40 asked if had used a helicopter to get away from WHL, fecking class! the caller offered to roll down his window to prove he was on the M6! ycmiu

Redknapp seems to be able to get the best out of his players and they outplayed utd (which we didnt when we had them at home).......

It's all about mentality isn't it.

Although United set up to have a go at Spurs, you could sense they felt it was going to be a tough game and I think that got to them. They looked stressed to me. Many of their players just didn't perform. Nani was absent, Berba-who?, Rooney his usual ineffectual self.

Contrast when the rags come to us. They EXPECT to win and play like it. We on the other hand expect a tough game at best - a thrashing at worst - and we bottle it.

If we can sort out our mindset, I am convinced we can win the league this year, simply because we do objectively have the best team.

Modric is their best player by far, Van der Farrt is ok after that i dont see any other player getting in our first 11.

The hype that Bale is getting this season is a joke.

Every other stat shows we have a better team and record, won more games, less draws, less losses, scored more goals and let less in than them. It's media hype don't see them finishing above 6th.

Inter still had many star players. Spurs have done well and deserve the credit.

They outplayed United for 90 minutes with both their first choice centre backs out and playing with a lanky arse striker who's hit 2 goals this season. They've already beaten Arsenal away and should have put Chelsea out of sight first half at the lane.

Spurs are a world class striker away from being an excellent side. If Spurs had a Tevez or Dzeko they would be many points better off.

Overrated teams would be the likes of Liverpool and Everton. Liverpool fans still think they can finish in the top 4.

Can we borrow one of those two? After you have upgraded on them of course. (if you can)
Then we will both be competing in the CL

They are so route 1 it's unbelievable. Give it to Lennon/Bale, cross it to Crouch, rinse and repeat. Pretty shite to watch really, rich mans Stoke.

Well that's two routes for starters.

FYI, Gareth Bale is on 11 goals and 7 assists so far this season.

That gives him a direct hand in 18 of Tottenham Hotspur's goals this season and an indirect hand in many, many more (Bale cross for Crouch to knock-down for Van der Vaart to score - Crouch gets the assist).

And only finishing sixth this season?

Have a quiet word with yourself, son.

Funny that both City and Spurs have 1 defeat in their last 15 games in all comps (City 9 wins, 5 draws.... Spurs 9 wins, 5 draws).....

In those 15 games, City have played Arsenal and United of the top teams......
In those 15 games, Spurs have played Arsenal, Chelsea, Manure, Liverpool......

Of the promoted sides, we have only played WBA (a) and Newcastle (h)..... we have not played Blackpool at all yet.....and as much as they like to attack, I am more than confident we can beat them.....

Now that we have our first choice CB (Dawson) back, 4 clean sheets in 5 games, just 3 goals conceded in the 7 games since he returned..... 400 mins at WHL since Chelsea scored (the last visiting side to do so before Xmas)..... not bad for a team many on here say can't defend... or are defensively weak....

Far from being overrated, on Bluemoon Spurs are massively underrated. For me they are currently one of the most exciting teams to watch in Europe, and, they are getting results to go with their good open attacking football...
