Are there any Somerset blues on here?

I fancy more of a village, but it comes down to finances. After living in Newton Heath all my life, everywhere down there is posh in comparison. I fancy Glastonbury tbh, but again it is finances.

Glastonbury is nice but being the sort of alternative place it is has it's fair of oddballs (people that walk around barefooted and hand out chemtrails leaflets and Piers Corbyn's mates). Can be relatively expensive in some of the snooty independent shops and cafes. Complications for commuting during flooding on the levels or during the festival week in the summer. The nearby town Street might be a cheaper option and has more amenities, in terms of supermarkets etc even has an outdoor pool used in the summer.

Wellington is nominally a town but only has about 15, 000 people so has a villagy feel about it.

You didn't say whether you were renting or buying but I had a look on Wellington and coincidentally found this. Been inside when I had a fling with the owner. No on street parking immediately outside but quite nice inside and modern bathroom. Quite high ceilings for a cottage (I'm 6'1 and can't remember ducking too much). Green parks nearby and woods and walking spots short drive away.

I want to buy mate, although I need to sell mine as well. May have to rent for a while though.

Had a nosey on rightmove and Bridgwater is cheapest on there too. There are some good bargains in Wellington besides the one I mentioned.

If you do end up in Taunton the places to avoid most are around Cheddon Road, Halcon Estate/Roman Road (near the Asda) and parts of Priorswood estate.

Top man, thank you very much

No ducking? Any diving though?
