Are we getting better?

Shaun Wright Phillips is one of my favourite ever players

On this site tonight people are questioning his ability

Does this mean
A) we are getting better and he was our only bright spark (first time around) and the expectation has grown without us realising it
B) he is a quality player
C) MoneyChelsea has changed him
D) Everyone is now a fucking nob expecting twat who thinks that we will win the league overnight and reacts in nobhead style way?

It either means:-

a) SWP is not the player he was when he left
b) Defenders have worked him out
c) He is being asked to do a role he isn't suited to; or
d) He is just out of form

I suspect it's a combination of b) and d).

If you think D) from your list above, please tell me the last time he had a good game?

I think on paper we look a much better side but it's going to take time for this team to gel. Bridge, De Jong, Bellamy, Zab in midfield are all new changes. You can't expect it all to happen immediately. What I am worried about though is SWP and Micahs form lately, hopefully they can turn it around.

Sorry to reply on my own post but I do feel the first 3 are valid, the fourth was my personnal opion

I realy do believe we are getting better it shows in the way teams set up against us

Unlike it or not we are now in the spotlight which is where we should be

I feel that the reputation is better than the team at the moment

It's not a witch hunt - it's a fact. He isn't doing it at the moment. Everyone loves SWP, including me, but he is not doing it at the moment.

I am not so sure, I think we have some great players and most of them are proven internationals, I do think we should be doing much better than we actually are though, however taking in to account we are going through a bit of a transitional period whilst we rid the club of the dead wood most fans including me are prepared to tolerate the erratic performances whilst MH assembles a decent side.

I think the next 3 months will decide if we are going the right direction, I am certain our owners will now expect to see some sort of consistency from here on in.

We have some really tough games coming up and it is absolutely essential we take something from them; we can’t afford many more performances like todays with such a tight premier league table

budweiser fantasy football gives points for goals and assists swp is in the top 10 points scoring midfielders this season so he is contributing as much as all but 9 midfielders in the prem and people are questioning his form ? honesty i do believe a lot of you dont actually go to any games

Who is saying he is shit? This isn't a couple of games that he has not been at his best it's been going on a lot longer than that.

Do you ever think one of our problems as fans is we are too prepared to put up with people when they are out of form?

I go to lots of games mate and I am saying that in my opinion he has been poor recently. All opinions at the end of the day but he is unrecognisable from the player he was when he first came back.

May be down to a whole host of reasons but that's the bare bones of it.
