Are we Having a Transition Season?

It’s not a transition unless it’s a transition to being mediocre. The players we have bought in for cm positions nunes, Phillips and kovacic (circa 130 mil on that) are miles below what have left the building. The club need to recruit better its that simple imo

Phillips really needs to leave the club in January. Absolutely nothing against the kid, but Pep doesn't trust him in any game, let alone a game where we're at our bare bones. Not good for the dressing room having these spare parts floating about. And if it is a transitional season then so be it. If any manager anywhere deserves a pardon for a under par season, then its most definitely Pep.But let's see what happens in the 2nd half of the season first.

Kovacic and Nunes are an upgrade on who exactly? Certainly not gundogan.

Kovacic is nearly 30. He's also been man of the match once since he joined the premier league. I'm fine with giving him time, but at 30, maybe he is what he is?

Genuinely can’t comprehend how anyone can possibly say Nunes and Kovacic are an upgrade on Gundo, there is currently just is no comparison.

Pep will get it right this season again I am sure of it, clear out the deadwood and get a few more in to close the gaps.

Well excuse me but its very easy to say the glass is half empty instead of half full but wasn't Gundogan injured for the whole of his 1st year. At least Kovacic and Nunes are fit and available for more than 3 games their first season. Let's look at all the facts shall we.

Possibly. I just don’t think we can keep up the same level as last season. For most teams it’s impossible. We will naturally have a dip in form.

After winning a treble players lose their hunger and it’s harder to get motivated for games that don’t mean much. There’s probably a bit of mental fatigue as well.

Even the fans don’t seem as up for it either, even if the expectation levels are through the roof. It does appear some fans think we should be winning the league every year - which was never going to happen.
