Are We Light Upfront?

has Dzeko moved anywhere yet this summer? We desperately need someone to sit in the box and terrify the opposition defence with their power and stature, and Adebayor and Jo cannot do this. Tevez needs to be told to stay in the box or given a partner, because at the moment we're playing 4-6-0

Having sorted out defence and midfield in the close season do you think we have failed to do the same for the striking department?

I thought Ade was good last season considering his personal problems and the number of games he played, but I don't think Jo is worth having in the team.

This season I have very little faith in Ade or Jo with neither showing much craft in pre-season or our competitive games so far.

Balotelli will I believe be a very good acquisition but I am concerned the only other real striking option we have is Tevez, and he will have poor games as the season progresses..

If we stick with what we have will Mancini expect Ade and Jo to improve or will he continue to play with one striking option with the expectation more goals will come from midfield?

We are waging war on many fronts this term and I'm very worried we do not have enough up front to win games.....

I think Jo is terrible and Adebayor's work rate is shocking. But we've signed Balotelli, I definately think he will make a huge difference to us when he comes in. Hopefully he can build a relationship with Tevez because in many games this season we should be playing 2 up front, especially at home against weaker teams!

Been said before but if Ade wants to play he has a strange way of showing it.

Jo looks weak.

Carlos not upto speed yet, he will get there.

Mario, it will take time. Lets hope his knee is 100%

-- Mon Aug 30, 2010 11:30 am --

Been said before but if Ade wants to play he has a strange way of showing it.

it doesnt matter how many strikers you have if they are going to be sat on the bench.

tevez is a wonderful player, but he cannot do it all on his own, and nor should he be expected to.

not scoring goals is becoming our achilles heel, and until we commit more men forward, and play with more attacking intent then mancini will continue to please and frustrate in equal measure.

the over complication of football makes me laugh, man for man we piss all over sunderland, take the shackles off and we will beat these times 9 times out of 10.

we have an amazing squad, yet we barely muster any shots, that just cannot be right and needs addressing.

This, we don't need more strikers - we just need to create for our strikers - they have had nothing
