Apart from that chant :-), we haven't come up with anything else so far. Or have we?

I appreciate there's a fine line between emphasising 'that point' and not coming across as......in the eyes of opposing fans. But surely we need to......(what's the word I'm looking for?) that City are indeed Champions.

I fully appreciate some of you will take a dim view of my musings. While others may think I have a valid point.

me to, totally agree...

And yes to the question, we do not make the most of being champions, we wait decades for the title so this crop of players deserve to come on to the pitch every game to "bring on the champiopns" !

There used to be the ''Bring on the champions'' chant the last time we won it [ Yes i am old enough to remember it unfortunately, lol!]

We also used to sing,''We are the champions, champions of England!'' I have heard Chelsea fans singing this only singing ''Of Europe'' instead.

One chant i LOATHE with a passion and cannot for the life of me understand why we sing it is the ''Champione's'' song,it is a rag song as far as i am concerned and makes me cringe!

Without being cocky or arrogant:

We fought till the end
we fought till the end
were man city
we fought till the end

I love stand up for the champions, when it starts at home and spreads around the ground.

Im with you on the championes song always reminds me of two obnoxious rags where i used to work, they would sing it over and over just to wind me up, hence i cant join in now

when we were not so good "city the best team in the land and all the world" now that it is true well nearly).it has dissapeared bring it back i say. but the op is correct we are not shouting it loud enough, stand up for the champions!

You thought it was yours,
You thought it was yours,
We saw you singing,
then Sergio scored...

Phil Jones wherever you may be,
You are the king of comedy,
The shirt came off and the crowd all roared,
and then you heard that City scored...

can't think of what we could put here, we need something.

Bring out the champions should be sung by us constantly for 5 mins before they come out. TBH I've been surprised how much we don't sing about us being champions, as a group of fans it seems we're better when we're singing the self deprecating songs.

I fully agree really good song

I dont think us blues are really the boasting type to keep singing champions songs, also its not sunk in yet to a lot of people even though it was six months ago, i still wake up every morning and think did that day really happen

Campeones really is NOT a rag song. Yes they sung it, but only because they won it and could. It's sang by most Champions to be honest.

What is this silly French champion ony song. Embarrassing I think it came about with it'd winning the league with cantana. Watching subsequent league winners singing it makes me cringe. Now we sing it, oh dear. Come on blues it's embarrassing. Champions..champions with 4 claps between is less utd/cantana

I remember hearing the 'Bring on the Champions' chant coming from the Kippax at the start of the 1991-92 season in the opening home game against Liverpool at Maine Road and it gave me goosebumps (for those that don't recall the game? City won 2-1 with David White scoring a brace and Dean Saunders missing a penalty at the Platt Lane End for Liverpool).

There was genuine believe amongst Blues that after the 5th place finish the season before and the addition of £2.5 million centre back Keith Curle that City could really mount a title attack.

But back to the original point, I think if we manage to retain it this year (please god) then this should really take off again.

That may be the case,i still don't like it although others seem to.
