Are we not in transitional phase too ?

I genuinely believe that if we win the league this year we won't get the respect and praise that we deserve

And quite frankly I couldn't give a shit

I pretty much think they are doing us a favour though by the stance they have taken with Liverpool and totally overlooking how we have played for good portions of the season. It pisses us fans of, imagine how the players look at it when they see liverpool getting all the plaudits. I think we saw that on Sunday when we beat palace. We looked like we wanted to just give two fingers to everyone. Attitude of the players was fantastic and the press just keep feeding it. We are getting that siege mentality as fans and as players that hopefully will drive us to the title.

If we win it on goal difference I'm seriously expecting a rule change the following season. That'd be the second time and both against the games media darlings and something would have to give to stop it happening again. Cue the bullshit that it can't be right to win it on goals scored.
What would they change it to? head to head?
2011-12: (Agg score) City 7-1 Rags
2013-14: (Agg score) City 4-4 Liverpool (City win on away goals)

I think that the question regarding a transitional phase largely depends on whether you ascribe to an empirical or an epistemological overview of the efficacy of the holistic approach.

Que?

I was saying this when Mourinho wouldn't shut up about us and how everyone in the media was basically giving him a free ride because its his first year and he hasn't got his squad yet, especially the striker. It's Mourinho's fault they haven't got the striker they need, he spent the whole window chasing Rooney and settled on Eto'o.

Yet MP was expected to hit the ground running, with effectively Mancini's squad.

I've noticed this new angle too being taken up by the media on us becoming favourites again is "well really they have the best players and should have wrapped it up weeks ago" bollocks

No mention that 4 of our best players are carrying injuries and another just back from being injured twice either. Of course, it should be expected because of all the money that we pay them.

Transitional phase yes and no.

No because we are still somewhat in a building phase. Despite the investment and the structure behind the scenes we still don't have one guiding philosophy of how we should play the game too many differeing opinions still in coaching staff behind the scenes at various youth levels even under Mancini. We are buulding towards that but until we have on running right through the club like Ajax and Barcelona then we will won't have stability as such. Until we do we will always have new managers in changing things so there will be that hint that we under perform. If we can put this right we wont have that problem. We should have a guiding philisophy where each manager just adds his own slant to it and I believe Pellegrini was a step towards that from what I've heard.

Yes on the playing side as we have a new manager with new ideas and teams take time to adapt. As for our current position then I believe given some of the games we have dropped points in we should not have to win it through goal difference. We have the talent to win while we build.
