Are We Worse Off Than Last Season?

Yes it is July, well spotted. My point is that RIGHT NOW as it stands, we are worse off because we have not really purchased and we WILL be losing players. On the other hand other clubs around us have done their business and we havent really. yes i understand that there is still weeks left, but its all if's, but's and maybe's.

In a nutshell - definitely not.

We crossed a very important line back in April this year, in that we won a game that really mattered. We beat the rags at Wembley to get to a Cup Final.

We then went on to win the Cup and also beat Spurs, enabling us to finish 3rd.

These were all crucial in the development of this club, and should stand us well for the coming season.

We still need to buy 2-3 more important players, also assuming Tevez goes. Hopefully all the distractors will be gone by the start of season and we can focus on going for the league without any tantrums.

So we're on a different planet to the start of last season, and have a trophy under our belt. No more 35 years. Hopefully we will have one more after next week, even if it is only the Charity Shield, as it will send out a message to the rest.

Are they worried, you bet they are.

I honestly think we are a stronger outfit now even if we buy no one else and I also think we are a side everyone is worrying about.
Balo and Edin are both effectively new signings this season as they will have benefited from a full pre season with the squad and will both be more acclimatised...I really think Balo is gonna shine this season.
If I could pick one more signing it would be in the middle and I would be happy with either Schneider or Nasri.
It's gonna be a great season for City.
