Are you a proud / active Parent

I’ve got 2 boys, with the wife pregnant for our third. I must say, this type of language is absolutely spot on though and if we have another boy he’s going up for adoption.

Why bother going through all that? Just leave him in a wicker basket floating among the bulrushes. You've got biblical authority for it.

Yes hands on - 19, 16 and 12.

Absolutely great relationship with all 3.

Must admit my oldest two are funnier and i have perhaps even a greater bond with but i am working on that with my youngest. Fought like a bastad to stay in the lives of my eldest 2 after divorce and could write 2 books on the struggles.
Maybe you should mate, I’m sure there are millions like you in the same position you once were - and don’t know what to do or how to feel.

I spend as much time with my little one as I can. God, it’s hard sometimes as we have no family nearby to help us. He’s a corona baby, and still yet to meet my family in the UK, but my wife and I do as much as we can without a family network or babysitters. He’s turned out well so far, though. Flirts with every woman he meets and is pretty well behaved. We really do miss the family network that we both had as kids though

mate - honestky it was tough. I went from reading them a story every night and happy to them gone just like that and being told I couid see them every other weekend and Tuesday nights. I was arrested for taking them to Disney, Spain, Portugal and London and on one occasion sang happy birthday to them whilst bouncing on next doors trampoline over a fence. It went on for years and eventually the ex wife said you are not going to give up are you and I said no and got 50/50 custody. Couid not be closer to them abs despite many faults I have I know I have been a good dad.

You should do it

Bump

Also nice to read the @Worsleyweb stuff of persisting in the face of it all.

Eldest has just smashed it and got his Master’s in engineering .

Feeling very happy and pleased for him after a hard 5 covid affected years.
He’s marvellous. Grounded. Caring. Laughs at my ‘dad’ jokes. Works hard.

Me and ex, and Mrs JASR seem to have been a stable supportive bunch - he says it a lot, in his way.

Anyway… sorry for the bump, but sometimes you can only be a proud parent… <smiles>

Congratulations. I don't have kids but if I were going to, I'd take yours.
