Two points to start with:

no I am not trying to go head to head against @worsleyweb for shit threads, although I appreciate this is a contender.

let’s not have a religious discussion.

Now that’s out of the way, are you giving anything up for Lent or are you giving up anything just generally at the moment?

From Wednesday I am going for crisps and fizzy drinks.

I did consider booze but with us being in lockdown and it being so boring and the fact I am a few weeks away from not being able to drink as the Mrs is due soon, I sacked that idea off.

Will be giving up fizzy drinks and crisps from Wednesday to black Saturday April 3rd.

Old habits die hard when you are brought up strict Catholic. Took me years to shake off giving up stuff for lent. I’ve recently been trying, with only partial success to eat healthier and give up chocolate so will continue with that but without the lent connection

A bigger ask would be to give up being a wum on Twitter and to stop rag and dipper baiting but I’m not sure I have it in me

Your last point is public service, you cannot give that up.

Given how much we've all had to give up this year, no. (However the answer has also been no for the 54 years before this one so.....)
