I always think these stories come from a shortage or a predicted future shortage of the foodstuff in question so they scare people off eating it for a while.
Humans have been salting, curing, fermenting and smoking meats for thousands of years and for many ancient societies it was their main source of protein.
It’s actual processing of meats where cereal filler and fat filler and even man made substances are put into a big machine with a small percentage of chicken(or whatever meat it’s said to be) are all mixed and cut into shapes that look like a real fillet of that meat. Often being about only 5-15% real meat.
That’s the dangerous type of meat.
