And no, it is not 20 when written in a non horizontal, hence me doing it. I am well aware of how to do the original.
 
Yes it is 20, even written vertically because it is a single sum.

The sum ends in equals. Everything before that is included within it.

That's 320 because you've changed the sum by adding English word "then" to determine order of operation. It has the same numbers but is a different sum
