Are You What You Wanted To be

Fuck me, i still wanted to be a racing car till i was 15!!!

I was special!!!

all in all it hasnt worked out that bad, always wanted to get into construction after going on site a lot with em old man as a kid, but wanted to get as high as poss. worked hard, now im working overseas, expat lifestyle working as a project manager! happy days really!

I was 11 during the Falklands Conflict and when I saw the guys there fighting & dying for a) their country and b) their mates I remember thinking that I would like to do something worthwhile with my life that really made a difference. Joined the RAF and twenty years later I'm still serving. I earn OK, not great, but good enough to buy a house & live on, and I've seen & done things most people could only dream of. Never regretted a minute of it.

i had big ideas but to lazy to carry them out ,did a ouji board when i was younger with my older siblings it said i would dig holes for a living , didn,t become a grave digger but did work with a funeral director, i am now in the building trade and have dug a few footings, but doing allright have a couple of houses plenty of holidays not my doing wifes got a decent job i'm still lazy as you can see on here at 3.45

Hell no. Wanted to be a vet, am not even close to being a vet :(

I wanted to be a vet as well, until I watched 'It shouldn't happen to a Vet' and realised they have to put animals down too.

PSML.

I wanted to fly jet fighters, but my eye sight damn nar close to left me at 11. Now that i have a job and a wife and a mortgage, I want to race rally cars. Or be a stunt car driver.

I always wanted to travel. Thankfully, I had the chance to travel through India, South East Asia, Australia, US & South America. Great times, and I would recommend travel to anyone who is not tied down and stuck in a rut.

I wanted to be a footballer, spaceman and a rock n roll star. None of them happened, so I have come up with a cunning plan of merging them all into one.

I hope to one day run around the moon, doing kick ups, whilst playing "bluemoon" with my acoustic.

If by some fluke that doesn't happen I will have to rethink my life.

With hindsight....yes.
My aspirations when I was younger were filled with ridiculous notions of unsuitable careers and crazy expectations of a load of kids.

Thank God the plans didn't pan out.

What did everyone wanna be when they were younger as life turned out the way you wanted it to,,,,, I wanted to be a Spy now im an arse on a chair.......

I Feel depressed!!!!
how did the engagement go???

I'm not the Navy Harrier pilot I always wanted to be (failed flying tests at Biggin Hill) but at least I gave it a go. Have a decent middle management job, a great wife, one lovely son and another little one on the way so it ain't all bad. Life is full of choices, crossroads etc sometimes wonder what I'd be doing now if I'd...never gone to University and got a job straight out of school, stayed in Bermuda, stayed at BT etc but it can drive you mad thinking like that. Regrets? I've had a few....
