No, once a player is officially subbed off, they cannot re-enter the field of play.A rule question: I know very occasionally a sub gets subbed. But can the opposite happen - can a player who has come off, come back on again (assuming not all the subs have been made. E.G. could Di Maria come back on for the extra time?
