Irrespective of how this plays out. Deschamps is asserting his authority here, something Southgate could learn from.
They are saying he is carrying a knee injuryFeel sorry for Giroud personally. Had a fantastic tournament, deserves a better final than he’s got
That back 4 of France's is full of overrated defenders.
Kounde, Varane, Upamecano and Hernandez, in the last couple of years they've all been highly rated yet rarely shown anything to deserve it.
Ballsy move by Deschamps
It didn't hurt that Kane bottled it.Dominate is a strong word England certainly didn't dominate France, if they attacked France shown a little ambition instead of having a complete weasel like Southgate in charge, then yep they'd have thoroughly dominated France in my opinion regardless of the result.
And we'd have been more proud, even if it meant losing 4-3 it'd have been more acceptable than the dross on display... but instead we were treated to a lackluster display of passing short back and sides throughout, England could've easily carved France up and scored at least a few regardless of the result no two ways about it.
;-)Shows how international football is not a good barometer for how good a player is.
If someone said City were signing Di Maria, you’d laugh at them.
And yet Southgate played Foden on him completely wronglyKounde is getting absolutely rinsed at left back
