"Argentina"

if anyone is old enough to remember the 1978 world cup in argentina, it was the argentina fans who first sang the "argentina! argentina!" song. don't anyone ever think that its the rag's song cos it aint, they stole it. it's nothing to do with the falklands war, it's a chant the argentina fans sang in 1978 thats all. i have no problem with any city fan chanting it.

It has been popularised in this country by the Rags. We can study the etymology until the cows come home, the fact remains that our biggest rivals have sung this for years to wind other fans up and if you were to ask Joe football fan where the song came from, they wouldn't say Argentina WC 78 - they would say the prawn sandwich eating munchkins instead.

It's not a City song, it's a RAG song. If people want to sing it, fine, but just like people who sing about munich they will be embarrassing our great reputation.
