Permanent deal leaves them scope to take Delap on loan as well?

I was told about this a couple of weeks back and it slipped my mind.

Yeah,great move all round.I think he needs to improve enormously for us to bring him back,but obviously wish him all the best in doing so.

£2.5m upfront plus 500k appearances based and a sell-on, according to Mike Minay at Radio Manchester.
Decent deal for all concerned. He has talent but needs to settle somewhere, can still have a good career but unlikely it will ever be with us
 
A buy-back can also be used solely for profit. If he has a storming season or two and there is loads of transfer interest, we could trigger the clause and sell him on for more straight away.
