arma 3 alpha

I wouldn't buy it on what I've seen of the alpha so far, people with very powerful pc's struggling for frames. I have only seen some multi player footage though and it is in alpha but it looks like is suffers from the same thing as Arma2 did, poor optimization and if it doesn't improve I wouldn't bother with it.

I've read the complete opposite on various forums and watched some footage on twitch. Most people were saying they've increased the visuals whilst adding much better animations and optimised the engine having it run a lot smoother than ARMA2.

I'm not a big fan of the game though tbh, i bought ARMA2 purely for DayZ so don't really see the point of buying ARMA3 when DayZ standalone is coming out.

The animations are better yes and I would say it looks better but people with GTX670's struggling to get 20+ frames and playing around with the settings changes nothing shouldn't be happening. Hopefully it will be down to be being alpha.

Yeh, i don't quite get what people were expecting through tbh. ARMA2 is buggy as hell an runs like shit and thats a retail game so surely people must have known an Alpha version of a game from the same company isn't gonna be very good for a while.
