Arsenal (A) | Community Shield | Post-match Thread

Enjoyed the showing from Kova.

Palmer showing what he did at the EDS level for fun and Phil looked great running through the middle.

Headlines will play out like they’ve won the league but an undercooked City looked comfortable for many parts of that game.

No injuries and more minutes prior to the start of the season. May be a slow start as we’ve seen in the past but keep the faith as usual blues

Only are 4th friendly game good to see kdb get some minutes in his legs palmer great goal roll on the Premier league

Arsenal are winning fuck all this year based on those celebrations alone haha. Alright performance by us all considered, we need to practice pens though!

What an absolutely PATHETIC celebration by Arteta when their goal (an own goal) went in. Thought the bloke won the champions league final.

Anyway, there's a stat about the winners of the community shield not winning the PL for a good number of years, so we move on.

Ahh well. It is what it is.
Draw was probably the right overall result and Pens are a lottery.

Am I really arsed, not really.

Good warm-up game. We looked ok considering the stage in the season, understandably lacking some sharpness.

Would have liked to have won it if only to stop them being so fucking unbearable.

This fucking sucks. Just like Chelsea with the champions league in 2021 we’ve given arsenal fans something to live off. They’re gonna be even more unbearable than they were before.

The way we presented ourselves in this penalty shootout was a disgrace. Seriously.
