Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

We’ve taken some hammerings this year.
So many players have fell off a cliff this year mainly Foden and that suicidal pass 30 seconds after equalising is inexcusable.
Words fail me after that.

Absolutely can’t stand half this team. Went 2-1 down and they just give up. Hope Pep watched who put effort in and who didn’t because it’s just time and time again.

We're absolutely there for the taking for any decent team, but the infuriating thing is that it didn't need to happen.

Give them a goal after a minute, control the game after that, do well to equalise then gift them another goal a minute later and collapse. That's not tactical. That's mental.

Too many of these players are mentally gone and most are too old to get it back.

Has Simon Stones wrote the match report yet? It'll be covered in his jizz as it totally hides the united result.

Did anyone think we would win or get a result today?

I didn't.

We're at that level now.

But 5-1! Wow!

We have been over taken by Arsenal and Liverpool. Face facts.

Move on.
Yes over 50 per cent did. This was pure dogshite. Serious questions need to be asked about what is going on behind the scenes. This is far far far more than injuries and Rodri like the happy clappers have been saying for months.

SPEND SOME FUCKING MONEY.

And not on average squad players. Fuck the cartel and the media, buy whoever it takes to get back to the level we’ve been.

And stop being so fucking soft, get stuck in, show some fucking fight and pride.

Midfield all too slow and weak.

Defence not tough enough and too many lapses in concentration.

Still no bloody full backs.

Shit keeper.

Akanji, Nunes, Kovacic, Bernardo, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish, Walker (still our player), Lewis, Stones all need moving on sooner rather than later. And that’s before we address the goalkeeper situation, as if Ederson has had his head turned and Ortega doesn’t want to remain no.2, then both of them will leave too. Perhaps as many as 12 have to go. And I’d extend no sympathy to anyone. We have to be a serious club again.
Sadly agree with all of this.

The only benefit of yet another savaging is that Pep will undoubtedly be ruthless in the coming months, been too many performances like this.

There is a way to lose and today wasn’t it.

Pep should be looking at the couple of Arsenal youngsters who have been trusted and how it’s paid off for them.

O’Reilly probably deserves a few chances in the upcoming weeks.

Folded like a pack of cards in a force 10. Gifted them the first 3 goals. Just unacceptable. Hope Pep calls them out and gives out a bollocking in the dressing room.
The ride is truly over. Madrid and Liverpool will be circling like vultures after displays like that.

Perhaps the recent results have papered over some massive cracks. Pep needs to use the rest of this season to blood our new young signings because that I could get behind - they wouldn't do much worse than that second half display. We made average players look like prime Zidane. The worst part is the lack of effort to press, the lack of effort to get back into shape.

Bernie and Kovacic cannot play as a midfield pair - Phil was awful and at fault for the important goal. After the equaliser we needed to be solid for a spell and they would have become nervous.

Perhaps this result will mean some action tomorrow to salvage our year. That was terrible and sad to watch.
