It’s hardly ideal but he has been literally our only option at times this year. Think he’s done okKovacic holding it together on his own at times.
Agreed. As much as I hate the scousers I wont be upset when they win it and Gabriel, Partey and co celebrate another 2nd.
According to some on here, we were in control at 1-1.Saw the two lineups and thought City would really have a go. It never came close to happening.
First half Marmoush and Savinho were basically playing next to each other, until Savinho moved closer to Haaland later in the half.
Couldn't get my head around the lack of balance in our team as the game got going. Nunes getting all that space and no one giving him an option or support.
Gifted goals and a lucky deflection handed the game to them. Hopefully whatever fucking about behind the scenes got Gonzalez and Cambiaso has now been nudged along, and we can try and bed the new signings in to end this season and this freak show world Cup at the end of the season.
I did mate the full Monty, home and away. It was wank and I don’t want us going back there.Don't think so mate. Did you see us in the eighties we could only dream of what we have done under Pep during his tenure in the eighties and nineties. This isn't the bad days.
Generally agree, though Marmoush ahead of Haaland? Not today, he was anonymous.Player ratings today?
Ortega 1
Nunes 5
Akanji 2
Stones 6
Gvardiol 5
Kovacic 4
Bernardo 3
Savinho 5
Marmoush 6
Foden 1
Haaland 4
Exactly this we give the opposition space then they turn side on to open the target Does my head inWatch the goals again and imagine that our defenders did what every other team's defenders do to us...
In other words, CLOSE DOWN THE MAIN WITH THE F***ING BALL!!?!
If we'd had the openings from which they scored their final 4 goals, I doubt we'd have got a clean shot away in any but maybe the last situation.
It's not rocket science - what do they DO in training? Practice running backwards? If so, I can tell you that they're wasting their time, because they've perfected that technique already.
Absolutely sickening to watch the same mistake being made over and over again.
Strange really - you'd think a genius coach would spot a pattern like that?
“Harsenal are so so good in transition, believe me”Turned off after the fourth, so I haven't seen any of the post match waffle. What's Pep had to say?
Yeah.Through a wicked deflection
Got to go and play a moneyspinning tournament giving the players no rest and come back with more injuries yet.Funny thing is Arse will finish second again. Sky trying desperately to manufacture a title race when its clearly a foregone conclusion.
As for us, the season cant end quickly enough so we can press the reset button.
Me too.As much as I hate the scousers I wont be upset when they win it and Gabriel, Partey and co celebrate another 2nd.
I agree, but it also cant be solely down to pep when he does or doesnt goAgree mate, we have a very large soft spot that managers are taking advantage of, however that doesn’t mean they’ve surpassed Pep.
Mistakes have been made, hopefully will be corrected but jettisoning Pep would not be a good decision
The best do tend to bow out at the top - or carry on like Wenger and end up looking like inspector Clouseau. At the top you say?
Hilarious thoughI lost respect for Henry a long time ago. He's an arsehole. That handball against Ireland was up there with that cheat Maradona.
This!Man I just saw some stats.
Stones and Akanji made 0 tackle attempts and made 0 attempts at ground duels.
Its not that they failed in them, they didnt bother trying.
Stones didnt have battle for the ball aerially once, while Akanji won 2/3 aerial duels.
What in the lord is that, ive never seen CBs who literally just stand still so much when defending.
