Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Fucking hell.

liverpool have won one PL trophy in 30 years.

the rags are currently 10 years without one.

We've just done four league title wins in a row.

We don't need to look towards liverpool or the rags for anything.

And you could add Arsenal. Twenty-five years since they last won it. And they ain't winning it this year. Believe it.
We're having a poor season, ok a very poor one, by our standards. Remember Mourinho's second season after coming back to Chelsea and winning it? For a while there was talk of relegation which was semi-serious. Relegation! (Which would have mightily pissed me off — City, and City alone, do title-winning followed by relegation…) What's happening is not acceptable, cannot be accepted, must not be accepted. We're not playing away at Wycombe any more. But there'll be no magic wand, no quick fix.

That was a tough one to watch and take. A ridiculous first goal to concede bourne out of our constantly dwelling too long on the ball in dangerous locations and aft passing. I thought we actually completed well in the first half, despite almost gifting them a second.

We did well to score our goal but then showed complete lack of game management to throw it all away after Foden's silly pass. Madness to fall apart in such a manner.

Arsenal were younger and more energetic than us, they set themselves up well. Teams know how to play against us and it has to be said we play into their hands.

We looked lost in the last 20 mins, we had no answers. It's been a managed decline this. I don't think there is a lack of effort on the players part, they just can't do it anymore. We should have strengthened and replenished after winning the treble. I feel we fell over the line last season with some stupendous effort and other being a bit crap when it mattered most.

This season has been a season too far for some.
All part of being a City fan and if you can get by a less than successful season after all the highs we’ve been through, then we’ll all be better ones.

He looks decent, qualities a mile off, not so sure....David Silva, Aguero, Bernado you could see instantly, after about 15mins of debuts, wouldn't put him anywhere near that on 'immediate' impressions, but certainly looks better than some others.

Bernado was shit at the start. Far less impressive than what Mamoosh has shown. Tin hit, but same with Spanish Dave, give you Serge thought ;)

If Bernardo, Kev and Gundo are all past it then why not Pep?
For the best manager in the world he isn't half making some fuck ups at the moment. At what point are questions asked?

Glad I’m not only one who thinks this

Not good enough to be our number 1
Loly stick wrists! He can't say he's not been given a chance because he has. I really don't know what's happened with him tbh, but let's face it, he's not alone is he. It seems teams don't earn goals against us these days, we just gift them. Very hard to take getting beat in that manner. Downing tools is just unacceptable. Gutted!

Plenty of us predicted this defeat. Peps loyalty to players who are done here is killing us. Bernardo, King Kev, Gundo should never start again

I hate saying it because they are all legends and have been and done things for this club that nobody else has done before, BUT ITS YES, The drop-off happened overnight and its sad watching
