Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

The three points should have been ours.

Doku is quickly becoming a very important player for us.

Also,

Jamie Carragher speaking for Sky sports before the game “I think Arsenal will have too much for city, Arsenal are a top team”.

(Manchester City have won the Premier League title 4 times in the last 5 years)

Is it just a short memory this fella has or stupid as well?
They have played the two other best teams in the league and have a solitary point to show for it.

Obviously hurts, being so close - and especially because of an avoidable, momentary lack of discipline, but all in all what a brilliant week :-)

Just remember the mood on here before the United game.

I think that the other coaches will be more worried that Pep might just be prepared to win 'ugly', than they've been by any dominant performance.

And all the players bought into it - no prima donnas on show out there.

A very different tactical match and it very nearly paid off. I think every single player worked their socks off - only one was not so good, Savinho came on with fresh legs and barely closed them down instead jogging about as though he's the dogs preverbal - that aside a point away at one of the teams that will challenge at the top is something I may have taken at the start.

The one thing we should all take from that match is not about us but about how fucking dislikable Arsenal are - from their manager who's a toss pot, to their players who leave just that little bit on in every single 50/50, to their unbearable fans. Hate them!

And not Ake playing him on for no reason? Donnarumma should have stayed on his line but the chance doesn't happen if Aké was paying attention
You do wonder what he was daydreaming about that was more important than the actual game he was playing

We can't get over the line against good teams

Tactics were utterly ridiculous too. Imagine having pretty much no outlet left on the pitch and allowing one of the best teams around license to attack you for 25 minutes again and again. I don't wanna hear "it almost worked'.

A point isn't bad there in general but it was simply another display of us not being good enough to get over the line in these games am

Sick

Needed another attacker to replace Haaland when he is dubbed. Someone with bit of presence
Marmoush, but he's injured

Another shite performance, couldn’t keep the ball at all.

Why hold a high line so late on and then Donnarumma doing his Ederson impression stood in no man’s land inviting an easy lob.

Pissing away the win shows how we’ll be nowhere near in the title race. Liverpool have it boxed off already. Grim.
Do you only enjoy following City if we are in a title race. Or do you support the club full stop

Great defensive performance overall, but not pretty. A bit of a role reversal to last season at the Etihad. Don’t know why we were so high on their equaliser after sitting so deep all game. Savinho is fucking clueless at times, gave Reijnders no option and we lost possession. Thought there was a foul however.

Decent result but should never have played that sort of way. Doku top class. Nunes did his job. Line was too high for the goal. O’Reilly did well. Overall, could be worse
Just can't take a poster seriously that has a user name subliminally celebrating a City players serious injury. Time to change it eh?

They got in behind us once. Once. If we'd have played a "normal" Pep game we'd have been torn to shreds.

Cheers,
Trautmans Broken Neck.

Atwell was an absolute disgrace. He gave them everything and us nothing, but the most obvious was just before they scored. Calafiori committed yet another late tackle and Atwell went to give it, but then decided to allow Arsenal to break from which they scored. Needs calling out.
Looked like it might have been a foul at the time but seeing the replay defo a foul
