Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

No we didn't have it spot on. Had we come away with the three points you could rightly claim we got away with it, but we didn't. A goal up early on, best striker in the world and we try to defend for an hour and a half. That might suit a bottom three side but you're never going to win anything like that.

Madrid under Ancelotti won their last couple of champions leagues with this exact type of football. When you have the right players it works. Madrid 1 nil against the dippers for example.

That is the poorest I have seen Manchester City on the ball for a long time.
clown.......considering we were coming into the last week 2 defeats on the bounce , we're on the right track with moosh and cherki to come back
He’s pissed off as his team couldn’t beat us.

we beat the rags.
we beat napoli.
2 days later we drew away at arsenal.

any so-called supporter who doesn't think that is a good week is a tit

There’s been a major improvement in the team over the last three games. We are moving in the right direction and Pep is generally picking the right team. Hopefully we will continue to improve as the season goes on. Liverpool can’t keep scrambling victories every week - can they ?
No, they can start battering teams as well

Trying not to let that spoil the rest of my evening but fuck me. I suppose it makes a change from absolutely dominating some shite team for 90 mins with possession outside their box to lose 1 0 on the counter

I refuse to celebrate a draw. Who is responsible for the signings in the last 2-3 years? These players cant keep possesion or press like they should. Might aswell let Pep go if anti-football is the way forward for this team, Pep is not that coach. Can´t watch this that kind of football going forward and it didn´t even get the 3 points after all. Never thoguht il see us playing like this ,when Pep is still around.
Off with the negative knickers and put on your positive pants ,or do you think it's early in the season,,,plenty of time to get worse

3 tough games in a week should be duly considered. By 70 minutes today our arses we’re hanging out.
Good result and as usual too much negativity!
maybe you are right ,but 7 points out of 5 games is not good and haven´t seen much that this season will be much better than last one. Today didn´t insist much positivity for me also ,maybe for others it does ,not for me :(

Arteta moaning after the game Pep rarely if ever does but you keep moaning you may influence the referee in the future! When have we ever had 4 mins added before halftime!

Pep could come out with a big least of time wasting how we are treated!

Spot on. Very good 8 days for the club. Will be very interesting to see our tactics next Saturday. I would suspect they will be a lot different than today. I don’t mind that today. With all the injuries and Rodri not up to speed yet, there’s no way that starting XI can go toe to toe with Arsenal away. Disappointing with it being so late in the game, but a very good point. Such a difference to last season
According to some of the fannies on here, this is gonna be our new playing style from now on…

100% proud of the players today. Gave it all! Took all the pressure. Unlucky at the end but we showed we can change outset and still hold our own
Pride is right word. The lads worked their socks off all afternoon. Disappointed with the draw after leading for so long.
At the end Pep and players all went over to the Away End where players and fans clapped in unison. They looked disappointed which is natural as the win was so close but a very good defensive display with Arsenal only having one shot on target 2nd half
Did what we had to do tactically. Everyone worked hard and 2 days extra rest may have been the difference in us drawing rather than winning. Taking off Khusanov, Foden and Haaland weakened us even if they had to come off for injury/fatigue reasons. Doku was amazing.
A draw was a positive result at that place.
Pep has just said the 2 days extra for them and us travelling down there taking 5 hours etc and subs like Ake weren't there "for the rhythm" etc was probably the difference between the win and the draw.

Pep yet again not calling the officiating out. Its why we never get the rub of the green. Officials have a choice, give a deserved free kick to City and have the crowd of their back, media calling them out and irate manager or just ignore the rules of the game and give it against City knowing its an easy cop out and nothing will happen.
