Arsenal (A) Post Match thread

Good three points and another game chalked off - this is the sort of performance we couldn’t do last season so it’s to be welcomed even if it was unspectacular.

Thought Cancelo would have been rested today and he looked a bit tired, but still could have wrapped it up at the end. Fernandinho was just supreme, Stones not far behind. Lots said about Stones’ mental resilience this year but he looks far stronger physically and a yard quicker.

Four league games at home now and if we win all of them then that will be it.

Arsenal were concentrating on avoiding a disaster
but were clueless how to come at us.

Our defensive work as a team is a joy to watch (Raz, Jesus, Bernie, Gundo, even Mahrez) and is exactly what many of us knew was the missing link for CL glory
over the last years. Interesting weeks ahead.

Our squad is in a fantastic shape at a late stage of a demanding season.
Pep's learning curve in defence and running efficiency is worth mentioning.
Very well done.
 
One of those games that as soon as we got in front, minds turned to the next game. Dias, Stones and Dinho won that game for us because they were at it for the full 90 minutes. Wins at Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal and a home win against Spurs, all potentially tricky, navigated comfortably. Do the same with the next 3 and the league is sorted.
 
Physically i think that was our toughest game this season , the team didn't get much protection from the ref from Arsenals sly dirty challenges ,but they kept their discipline & didn't react back or get upset .
That was a good 1-0 win in the end , last season under the same circumstances we would of folded & lost the game .
A big well done to the team , the confidence ,togetherness & winning mentality is great to see ,lets enjoy it while it lasts.
 
Not a performance that deserves gushing praise , but a professional no-nonsense three points thought our front six players were off the boil today but our defence more than made up for their lack lustre second half.
Job done , bring on the German's
