Arsenal (A) - Post-Match Thread

Can I just point out, its the easiest thing in the world to make a formal complaint to BT about the content of their programmes. (such as commentary)
If you paid for content of BT Sport and were not happy with it, - make a formal complaint.
Just google :making a complaint BT Sport and fill in the form
Takes 2 minutes
Better than just moaning in an echo chamber
My complaint to BT

The commentary for Arsenal vs Manchester City was incredibly biased towards Arsenal.
The reporting of VAR incidents during the game set out to create outrage rather than commenting on them referencing the laws of the game Rio Ferdinand and Jake Humphries did all they could to undermine the referee and suggest Arsenal were somehow cheated. Great store was placed on VAR inconsistencies despite the fact that your expert referee Peter Walton described in detail what had happened and why.
The overall commentary of the game was like listening to Arsenal TV. When they played well, commentary bright and humorous and eulogising about how brilliant they were. When City came into the game a noticeable difference in tone.
I am used to your dislike of City through watching your commentary on CL games but this one absolutely took the biscuit. I pay the same subscription as an Arsenal fan and deserve a balanced commentary that covers the good, bad and indifferent from both teams. Neither do i expect to see the City pundit Lescott silenced by the other two when he tried to put forward a counter argument. Really really poor.

Rodri should have had more appreciation for travelling blues...footballers are out of touch...don't they realise its a big sacrifice for fans financially...and he went on this wierd ego trip think and didn't give the travelling blues a second thought ...he should have been in the other corner!
I was in the away end & I can honestly admit that I couldn't care less. Rodri could have run straight down the tunnel, jumped into an Uber & off to a brass house for all I cared.

BT did show that clip as me and my mate were arguing about it. It was that angle and clip that proved me right. Ball first. No pen.
Did they show that during the incident?

I missed it if they did but I knocked BT straight off after the game as their narrative was doing my head in.

And breathe , what a game and result that was.

The referees had a tough day but will feel vindicated by getting the big decisions ,that were very close to call , correct.

Atwell’s game management was awful and he was far too lenient for both sides and never had control of the players and it all eventually ran away from him. To give him some credit , he was equally bad for both teams in the end.

Arsenal- the team - deserve credit for playing very well in that 1st half and making us look mere mortals.

Arsenal - the club - were a complete embarrassment , they have morphed into Bolton Wanderers and they can’t see it. When you have your ballboys deliberately throwing balls to each other rather than to a City player and then show ( against all the rules) the controversial decision on the stadium TV’s in an attempt to whip up a riot then you cannot complain when we celebrated as the players did.

Fuckin priceless memories you self entitled Woolwich wankers.

In fairness, I have tried to detach my view of Arsenal from the commentary and also the fans. BT may have coloured my view of the team and fans unfairly.
On reflection- my more measured view is
BT are fkn cnts
Arsenal team played well but were still fkn cnts
Arsenal fans are great to laugh at (good lad Rodri) but are, have always been and always will be fkn cnts.

They all deserve each other.

It’s an unpopular opinion on here but I took a strong disliking to Arsenal fans after the way they turned on Wenger. The bloke didn’t deserve that at all.

During mate, yes. Easily missed as there was several clips constantly changing. That’s the one though that I used to say to pal it was defo ball first.

I know somebody in the match thread said he definitely got the ball, they were adamant, so I must have missed that clip while typing lol but 'odd' not to use it again.

Still fair play to Wright he must have been seething inside but he remained fair on both incidents.

Was talking to a couple of them a few weeks back and all they wanted was him back at the club which tells you everything.

One of the PL great managers.
