Arsenal (A) - Post-Match Thread

Quoting journos as well, the ones that said it was crystal clear that are should have had a pen! They hate us going clear at the top which is just fantastic.

Fantastic win and 3 points, what a fight to get the points out of a tough game.

Things worth considering though.

Today showed, to me, why we need to replace Torres, asap. The moment I saw the line-up, I thought we better not be chasing this because there was no attacker/finisher there you could bring on to grab a goal. And now with Mahrez off to afcon, that'll be even more scarce. Obviously, thank fuck for Rodders proving that wrong, but there will be more and more games like that, and our deep lying midfielders aren't always going to be able to bail us out.

Kev looked fucked at the end. And 5 unused substitutions in 2 games in 3 days shows that even 10 minutes here and there with fresh kegs coming on coild be the difference between the thin (in attack) squad being managed all the way through the busy and tough period to come.

Hopenwe really look at this in January now.

They were better than us today. We had a lot of possession but in our own third of the pitch.

That being said, Dias should have put us one up early on and Jesus/Laporte should have made more of that chance from the corner.

We looked understandably leggy against a team who didn't play two days ago. But we did what we should and stayed in the game.

What a club
