Arsenal (A) | Post Match Thread

Its like a few years ago when Sterling gave away a penalty for blocking a player on a corner based on some new rules the premier league brought in that season. For the entire rest of that season i didn't see a single other penalty given for it.

Its just pure chance these once in a lifetime decisions happen to go against us.
Otamendi in the CL, they had to change the handball rule after that one.

They never give them if the player gets the shot away. Goalkeepers only ever concede a foul if they prevent the player from getting to the ball. Even if technically in the rules there's nothing to say that, that's the way it's always been refereed. Except in a big match when the Premier League need Arsenal to get back into it. I'm glad we shoved it down their throat.
Yep happens almost every week, pens rarely, if ever given (unless you wear a blue shirt)

Again, we got a penalty for exactly the same thing in the same game. Referees announced they were clamping down on holding and blocking players from corners but it only lasted for one game. We got a penalty for it and Stoke got one for it. Then it stopped happening.
