Arsenal (A) | Post Match Thread

Yep happens almost every week, pens rarely, if ever given (unless you wear a blue shirt)
The possible penalty from Walker was exactly the same, the Arsenal player got the shot away and then there was contact with Walker. Decision; no penalty. Not even consistent in the same match.
It was a very, very odd decision to make, the Arsenal players didn't even appeal for it and they appeal for anything they possibly can as a rule.
It would have been an easier decision to not give it, especially as giving it gives rise to the conversation about whether it should have been a second yellow for Ederson.

You really think 22 days from now, that after the first 5 minutes of the match at the Emirates, that this will result will mean anything in that match?

Oh my god

Easy to think like that.

I remember losing to Chelsea in the FA Cup and thinking it means nothing.

We then lost to them in the League and the Champions League Final.

Losing has a psychological affect on any team, we would know, we've watched our side sweep up records and trophies for over a decade now.

Above quotes were after the FA Cup match, me replying to an Arsenal fan.

I knew you couldn't underestimate Arteta being scared of us in that match by not wanting his best side to lose to us and then bringing them all on anyway.

They've not won a game since then and been pretty average. I think Villa (A) will be a struggle for them too.

Gabriel Jesus is a big miss for them. City have missed him this season as well.

His work rate and tenacity in the final third are incredible. Pep always played him in the big games in the last few years, and Arsenal definitely don’t look anything like the same without him.
I can guarantee he wouldnt have scored those headers though ;)

Come off it. Arsenal cant complain about him tonight, he gave them everything. Even Gary Neville thinks both decisions (rashford & tonight) are a joke!!! You'll never see anything similar given again, unless its against City!!

I agree tonight they deffo had more favourable decisions
But there will deffo be some arsenal fans complaining about haalands elbow and a few other decisions - it’s the mindset of all football fans.
You’ve had some shocking decisions go against you this season, Rashford one especially
but honestly, football fans genuinely think officials are against them - if you read other teams forums it would be similar to here.

Don’t want to derail thread as tonight was all about a massive city win.
