Our performance in the first hour against Villa was the best we've played since the World Cup break. Not reinventing the wheel to play the same system.

Ake in for Laporte is a nod to their pace on the break.

Playing the best 4 defenders on paper would minimise our chances of conceding, but stifle our build up play.

Yep, I am interested to see how Pep uses him over the next few years. I can see him being used in a Pirlo type of role. Sitting deeper and spraying the ball around.

Said this in a previous thread, having Kev deeper gets us out of the press quicker and allows him to play Haaland in like he did on Sunday which led to a goal, especially if teams want to come up to half way

I like this team. We may struggle in the middle with speed. Bernie Lb is a good move. We need help at the min moving the ball from the back. Yes he can be targeted but the risk is worth taking.

He will not play full back. We have a back 4
