I don't think one good performance without him is justification to leave him out against Arsenal.
My opinion will always be a fit Silva starts. Fair dos if you don't.

I think Silva is the best player to ever wear the shirt, but he's still not 100%, which is what we need in games like this.

It's justification to leave him out on that basis and the fact that we have played good stuff without him. We're lucky to not be a one man team.

I'm just giving my opinion on this one game. I'd always play a 100% Silva without a doubt.

I think he must be getting close to 100% now. This 9 day window as well as the minutes he's had in the last couple of week are just what he's needed.
I agree with you that an unfit Silva shouldn't start.

Yeah, true. Hopefully the break will serve us well with the likes of him and KDB, etc.

With Sergio back in training and Kompany getting close there's definitely reason to start getting optimistic. The problem seems to be keeping them fit for any amount of time.

It would be a huge confidence boost to have Vinnie and Sergio back. Even if it's just as part of the matchday squad.

Exactly. No idea why they can't find a way of keeping them fit. There must be some sort of programme or regime we can find to avoid these recurring muscle injuries.

Your first sentence confirms that we could easily win the Premier League.
Your second sentence suggests that we won't.

It's definitaly in the balance for me. We all know what we're capable of, we've seen it often enough in the past. Simply put, we get a decent run of games out of Kompany, Aguero, Zabaleta (purely to give Sagna a rest) and Silva in the next 5 months and we'll win the league. We'll just have to cross our fingers and see how it plays out.

Very true, but what really concerns me, is that we had the same conversation last July.

Nothing seems to be improving, and I wonder how our fans will react if Kompany spends more time on the treatment table, before miraculously recovering to play 5 games in 20 days for Belgium next Summer.
