How are people getting down with the train strikes?

I'm not going so no problem forr me but is there EVER a single bloody weekend with train strikes these days. It would drive me nuts, and we're repeatedly told over and over again to use public transport!

For Ipswich I did
Manchester to London then
King X to Leeds LNER
then Leeds to Manchester. Have a look wasn't expensive.
They also didn't scan my Manchester to London journey so got full refund

Also look to see If London North Western Railway is running and just change Manchester Crewe then LNWR to London return. Usually alot cheaper!
