Just got home. Frustrating afternoon and futile blaming the officials; we had enough chances to win, enough possession to create even more chances, and in the end we let in two very sloppy goals.
I though that, with the exception of Clichy, we played well. I'm not Otamendi's biggest fan but he was immense, as was Yaya. De Bruyne really put in a shift, too. But the game was really a reflection of our season; 90% of brilliance but 10% woefulness, and it's that 10% that is our undoing. If our passing had been a bit quicker in teh final third I think we would have won comfortably.
As if the result wasn't hard enough to take, we had to put up with two blues scrapping behind us up in 538 (made a young kid in front of us cry so his dad took him out early), and also witnessed two younger blues sucker-punch a middle-aged Arsenal fan as we walked out the ground for no apparent reason whatsoever. My 57-year-old dad stepped in to stop them doing something really stupid and then I had to run back and pull him out because in all likelihood these two tossers probably would have swung for him, too. To the lad with the white shirt who threw the second punch when the man was already down and then scurried off; you really are a courageous fella, well done.
