I think this 'issue' is symptomatic of how we are perceived in general.
I'm not surprised that Arsenal fans tend to look down on us, as for all intents and purposes, as far as they are concerned 'who the f**k are we?'. They have an amazing record against us, and until recently they were almost guaranteed six points in these fixtures. To go from that 'dominance' to having to accept that we have caught up with them so quickly, and potentially might match or even surpass them in the forseeable future, then I guess it is pretty hard to swallow. Consider this together with the fact that they still haven't got over the other upstarts (Chelsea) spoiling their cosy twosome with the Rags, and their bitter rivals, Spuds looking increasingly their equals, then it's a pretty bad time (relatively speaking) to be an Arse fan.
However, I think for their own good, they need to man up and get over it pretty damn quickly or else risk being completely consumed with self-pity and bitterness. Their arrogance will continue to be their un-doing - I mean how cringeworthy and disrespectful were their players at the end of the match coming off 'shaking their heads'? And Fabregas, well he could start me off on a whole new rant, which I will spare you all from (for now)!
As an aside, I too re-watched the match and was pleasantly surprised at how well we weathered the early onslaught, and adapted our game to combat this so effectively.
