yes feeder club, loool . And how have those signings worked out for you?? Give us some more cash please, take chamakh, djorou, park, squillaci, bendtner (infact he might be your second choice striker) and denilson also please, to follow tradition of taking our dregs.

None of our signings have added anything to your team, until you get one that actually improves your first team and hampers our team , im happy to be your feeder club - as you do pay generously :)

The thing is, the club you support is about to lose it's best player. A certain RVP.

The said player who has scored over 30 goals and single handedly kept Arsenal in the top 6, nevermind in the top 4.

So what happens to your beloved Arsenal next season when RVP leaves and that transfer money is used to pay off some of the debt once again?

City on the otherhand will sell Tevez, Ade, and....?, which will bring in enough transfer money to go and buy again, regardless of the Money Mansour makes available.

So next season City will once again be fighting for the title, while Arsenal, minus RVP, will be.......(fill in as appropriate) :-)

Funny the crux of your argument is based around a conclusion that is yet foregone. And in the hypothetical scenario Van persie does go, someone else would step up. People said that with Henry, when he left adebayor stepped up , when he left Fabregas stepped up , then when fabregas got injured Nasri done ok for a bit , when he left Van persie stepped up. I'm hardly worried if rvp goes, been there done that, though for what its worth , I cant see him leaving . Though for the answer to that we'll have to wait till seasons end. I'll stop by and have a visit then , and take the abuse if he does, but be prepared to eat your words if he stays. Anyway I got a bit of work to do . TC

I don't think anyone will argue that's the most boring, patronising visitor that this site has had in some time.

Go on then. Feel free. Who is going 'step up' and replace RVP and 30+ goals?

Well?

Oh, you've bailed out.

As much as the gooners enjoyed their win yesterday, City played like a pub team and any half-decent side would have put 3 or 4 past us.

Makes gloating over the narrowest possible margin of victory look a touch desperate.
Welcome to fun. I bet you leave your shoes at your mate's door too.

I do find the amount of vile Arsenal fans reserve for the likes of Nasri quite amusing, whilst they hero worship the next generation like Wilshere/Song. You think they'd have learnt enough lessons from history to recognise this little pattern.

So for you Gooner fans here, here are some quotes you are likely to hear from your players. Usually over the period of 3years ;)

1. Arsenal are a fantastic club, Wenger is a great manager and it would be a fantastic achievement to bring trophies back to this club. I love playing for a club which espouses such wonderful footballing values. I could never see myself playing somewhere else, there's just something special about this club.
2. We need to focus more when times are tough and show a stronger mentality at times like Man United. We are a young group and have lost some key older players so it's time we stepped up to the plate and delivered. Playing great football is important but we need to combine it with a bit more steel.
3. I love Arsenal and nothing would bring me more pleasure than to win trophies here, I really hope this is possible. Next year we will be stronger.
4. Of course, it's frustrating when your international teammates are collecting silverware and you aren't, I came to England to win trophies, and hope I can achieve this with Arsenal.
5. I would never push for a move from a club and set of fans who have given me so much but if another club is interested then of course it's flattering. X are a great club and are winners.
6. Give me a fucking transfer, I don't care where, just to some club that wins something, anything. Birmingham won the league cup right?..that'll do. Just get me out of this club before I'm retiring in a few years with a trophy cabinet as full as a conference player. Arggghhh!

A team just won a game what you want them to do? sit down and not celebrate?

what an embarrassing thread

lol , I'm not prepared to bite atm, but the sheer fact weve been in the champions league 15 straight seasons with people saying one man team for a different player pretty much each season , would probably lead anyone with a sound mind to not underestimate us . But clearly you have , which tells me something about you......

We're signing Podolski in a few weeks; it's all but a done deal. Also, if RVP doesn't sign a new contract, we'll probably get Olivier Giroud from Montpellier. With Wilshere coming back and the rest of our signings having a proper preseason, hopefully the goals will spread out a bit.

To be fair, nobody -- and I mean nobody predicted that RVP would get anywhere near 30 goals. He was made of glass and never finished even half a season before, never played as a #9 and always wanted to be a trequartista/second striker.

This time last season, if I told you RVP would be converted to a CF, stay fit all season, and score a goal a game... I would have been laughed off this forum. Trust me, someone always steps up.
