This match will show up or give us some signs to where abouts we really are. We have had 3 good wins where we have defended well enough and not let anybody score. This game will be huge in terms of proving we are for real and you can bet Ade and Toure will be up for this one.

HUGE GAME NEXT SATURDAY.

A draw wouldn't be the worse thing in the world either. Just can't afford a loss not at home.

International breaks suck. How many would take a point now ? I wouldn't, I fancy our chances. :)

If we were away, i would take a point all day. But at home i fancy our chances, like you said. Hughes and the team were spot on last year

We can win this game but it's all about tactics and how each team set their teams out formation wise and substitute throughout the game at the right time.

In Toure and Lescott we have two commanding centre halves who are also a threat from what can be some exceptional deliveries from Gareth Barry. With Adebayor, Tevez, Robinho, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Stevie Ireland we are sure to be able to field players that can hurt them and hopefully give their defence a few problems. Obviously we'll have to watch out for Vermealen from set pieces (especially corners) and Van Persie / Arshavin will always pose a threat.

If we can score the first goal with a capacity crowd behind us I reckon we could roar them onto victory. There's no reason why we shouldn't be confident going into this match.

I looked on an Arsenal forum earlier and most are confident they'll win, some even suggest theyre likely to score 3 or 4.

Personally I think we can beat them, though I hope Cesc is out

The next two games decides exactly how every other team in the Premiership is going to play against us for the rest of the season.

It could be anyone's game. And we don't have a horrible defense, just a horrible keeper ;). Either way, we were robbed against Manure thanks to Funguson having the ref in his pocket as always (carded 6 times for nothing, denied a stonewall penalty, our manager sent off for kicking a bottle, Fletcher hacking down our players left and right and having no cards). The team will be fighting hard, and have Cesc/Rosicky/Theo fit and ready.

You guys have a solid team, and will really be in the mix all the way until the end of the season. I hope you get 4th at Manure's expense.

What an incredibly negative post. There is nothing to prove. There is nothing to improve. Our defence is 100% solid. There have been 0% unforced errors. Our finishing has been 100%. We have not been lucky in defence, and we have played against the best attacking line-ups in football today. We dominated Barcleona as well - did you see them even touch the ball once? I didn't!

Call yourself a Blue? Negative!

The word Arshavin casts a doubt in my mind. He put 4 past one of the best goalkeepers in the league last season, and won arsenal a point all on his own. he scored a cracker on saturday against (and i hate to say) on the best defenses in the league. with richards not being on top form at the moment, putting him against arshavin wouldnt be the best decision hughesy ever made. dont get me wrong, richards will come good, but in his current run of form, arshavin and van persie will dominate down that right side if shaun doesn't cover him. touré and lescott should be fine... but unlike most of you, i'm not a great fan of bridge. if arsenal manage to play arshaving across the middle and on both wings, both our full backs are going to struggle. diaby looks like a threat and if fabregas is fit he will boss the midfield unless we have barry in their niggling at his heels. barry may have to get himself booked but if we keep fabregas at bay it will be worth it. arsenal aren't the strongest at the back, but vermaelen is good at heading in defensive and attacking positions. but in defending positions we have adebayor to take care of that. arsenal battered united and the rags were lucky to come away with a win - as for city, our defence seems stronger than last year. but i fear our first conceded goal will come in this game. given cant play like this for much longer and against a team like arsenal he may concede. but with ireland, barry and the rest of our forward minded players on form we should be a threat, and i doubt vermealen and sagna can take us on, as 2. we have adebayor who is scripted to score against his old team.. and maybe touré from a corner... but wenger is a clever man... but if he is banned from the touchline it could make a bigger difference than you think.

overall i think arsenal will struggle if we play on the counter attack. final score i'm going..for 1-1. and smiles from a pleasant game.

How Arsenal lost at the Swamp yesterday only that referee will know ...... a blatant penalty for Arsenal refused , and a debatable one given when Rooney was clearly lookin' for one!

From what i saw they had the lions share of the chances and possession , and only lost because they inexplicably scored a ridiculous own goal .

No wonder Wenger lost his rag in ragland!

I expect we won't get the 'rub of the green' like the rags did and Fabregas will return for our fixture with them , as players tend to do when we're in town , but they're moving the ball about well and it's gonna be exceptionally hard to win this game.
