Arsenal game looking tough

glad wilshire isnt playing. he is a fantastic little player. fabregas aint half bad either though.

i think if we get stuck in we'll take the 3 points. we need to get silva on the ball as much as possible.

I can't tell you how much i hope we play Boateng at centre back for this one. Lescott is too cumbersome to play well against Arsenal. He'd be a major weak link at centre back. Richards is back from injury, so i'd bring him back in at right back, Kompany and Boateng at CB, and then either Bridge, Lescott or Zabaleta at left back (all 3 have their pluses and negatives). I'd play De Jong, Barry and Yaya in midfield. Milner on the left, Silva cutting in from the right, Tevez up top. Adam Johnson and SWP as game-changing super subs. And i suppose this may be one game where Adebayor might actually do something, so he'd be the 3rd super sub!

I'm not being arrogant but other than Ushited and Spuds I don't fear going into any of the games against tough opposition because we usually make a good account of ourselves in these games. I was more nervous before the Blackpool game than I will be for this and I rightly said that Blackpool away would be a tougher game for us than Arsenal at home. This doesn't mean I think we'll destroy them and walk away comfortable winners but to be fair we've only done that against Liverpool so far and lets face it who wouldn't beat them? I just think that if I was a neutral and had to put my life's savings on one or the other to win I'd pick City without a moment's hesitation. (Providing Lescott isn't at CB) ;)

You are wrong there. City will play on the counter against Arsenal, last season when you beat us 4-2 we had 19 shots to your 10, 12 corners to your 3. What Im saying is when you defend deep and the other team attacks and you counter, there's always a chance that they will go through you. We have alot more movement in our midfield compare to you, and when you have players like Nasri, Fabregas and Arshavin, there's enough talent there to cause problems to any team. Why would you worry about Spurs at home and not us when we are better than them

I'm just talking about our recent records. We seem to struggle against Spuds and certainly did against the Scum last year but your style of play suits us down to the ground. Your defence is weak as hell and your goalies are bobbins. You have a good footballing attack but we have a strong defence and dangerous players on the counter attack. That's why I favour us all day long. You watch ;)

Footballs funny isnt it.

Arsenal last night could have run up a cricket score. If we played Shaktar I reckon we would win but by the odd goal, I doubt we would be as convincing as Arsenal were last night.

But on Sunday I can see us getting a draw at worst and wouldnt be surprised with a win.

Our midfield don't need to win the battle as such, just stop there midfield playing specifically Fabregas and that will nulify most of their threat.

How about Boyata for fullback instead?

Arsenal is always a tough game, play like we did on Sunday and we are fucked.

I dont like the fact that they get 2 extra days rest either, we will need to be at our best to get 3 points.
